Pets play such an important role in our lives that leaving them behind during trips can be stressful both for pets and the families that love them. Whether for vacation or business, what better way to comfortably bring Fido along then by staying at pet friendly hotels? Denver, Colorado offers many pet friendly accommodations that will help you and your dog feel like your very own home away from home when travel calls.

There are a few important considerations to make when selecting from the many Denver pet friendly hotels available. When reserving a room, be sure to ask whether the hotel has size limitations. Some hotels will not accept dogs larger than 50 pounds, and many will not allow more than two dogs per room. Some hotels will have cleaning fees or pet deposits, and a few do charge a nightly fee anywhere from $5 to $25 per night for pet stays. Non-refundable cleaning and sanitation fees apply in some facilities as well so make sure to ask when making reservations.

Even pet friendly hotels will require leashes or restraints when dogs are accompanying owners in public areas. Also be sure to check on any breed restrictions that may be in effect at hotels you may be considering. Denver passed a 2005 ban on pit bulls or any pit bull mixes, and those transporting pit bulls through Denver must have a permit.
