Keep these things in mind when you and your favorite canine are thinking of potential New Year’s resolutions for the 2011 New Year.
The New Year is a time for making resolutions, things that you want to change to make the year a brighter one. New Year’s resolutions do not only have to be for you, they could also stretch towards your pets.
Wouldn’t it be nice to make a resolution so that your dog could have a better life?
Creating a New Years Resolution for Your Dog:
If you are thinking of making a New Year’s resolution for your dog, you may be wondering what to start with. For many dog owners, the main thing that they would like to change for their dog is how active they are. A lot of dogs gain weight through no fault of their own and their owners up until now, have not given them the appropriate exercise that they need in order to stay healthy. So, one New Year’s resolution could include taking the dog on more walks.
Another thing that is extremely important is your dog’s diet. Many dog owners feed their dogs a variety of fatty foods that are unhealthy for them. Fatty treats and low quality foods are detrimental to any dog’s health. So, another New Year’s resolution that you should take on board is feeding your dog a healthier diet including premium pet food and treats for dogs.
Start you and your dog off with something simple and wholesome—dogdration, the tasty dog beverage that prevents canine dehydration, and enhances your dog’s strength, endurance and overall health!

Be Careful With These Harmful Dog Treats
Posted: 07/6/10 6:38 PM | Filed Under: Blog | No Comments »Just because a company makes it for dogs doesn’t mean your dog should eat it.  Nowadays there is a huge selection of dog treats, dog biscuits and dog bones out there to choose from. But some of these treats are not only unhealthy, but some can actually harm—even kill— your beloved pet.
According to consumersavvytips.org, here are some treats for dogs to avoid:
Rawhides— a rawhide is the skin of a cow. But even scarier is the fact that the production of rawhides are not monitored in any way. There have been problems such as arsenic poisoning in rawhides, and traces of formaldehyde. You don’t want your dog ingesting these chemicals.
Rawhides can also cause intestinal blockage problems and can damage the inside of your dog’s intestines.
Pig ears and cow hooves— like rawhides, pig ears and cow hooves have also been known to cause intestinal blockage problems.  These problems may result in vomiting, diarrhea, irritation or blockage in your dog’s digestive system.
Greenies— these products have also been known to cause intestinal blockage problems. If your dog does not chew a Greenie properly, it can block the intestine, which may result in illness, or even death.  Greenies are a popular treat, and while only a few cases of death have been reported, it’s better to be safe than sorry, and avoid these treats altogether.
While it’s true that anything that your dog ingests could pose a potential threat, there are safer dog treats out there on the market. Simple, easy-to-digest and chew treats are a great alternative to the more dangerous dog treats.
Frozen dogdration ice cubes is a good example of easy-to-digest and healthy treats for dogs. Order the premium dog beverage online today!
